Make a serged Christmas tree napkin
Approximately 21" in diameter

With a serger you can sew your seam, finish the edges, and trim away the excess fabric all in one step!
  • Create a quick and easy circle pattern with the Yardstick Compass (YC2) and the Omnigrid 1" x 12" Ruler (OG1C) plus Pattern Tracing Paper (PP3).
  • Choose 2 coordinating fabrics—your napkins are reversible.
  • Cut out fabric using your circle pattern.
  • No need for pins to get in the way of your serger blades. Apply a glue stick (SCGS3) to wrong sides of the fabrics to hold them in place as you serge.
  • Serge fabric circles together; clip threads, secure with Fray Check (SF2)—you're done.
  • Fold napkins into a clever Christmas tree shape.
Supplies to make four napkins:
∗ 1-1/4 yds. of two 45" coordinating fabric prints
∗ Use Madeira 40 Wt. Rayon Embroidery Thread in the upper looper, lower looper, and right needle of your serger
