Learn Nancy's three favorite techniques for basting quilt layers

Get smooth pucker-free quilts. Choose one of these methods to hold the backing fabric, batting, and pieced quilt top together temporarily until you've quilted the layers together.
  1. Temporary spray adhesive: Spray KK2000 to the wrong sides of backing and pieced quilt top and smooth onto batting.
  2. Fuse basting: Iron Steam-A-Seam2 to the wrong sides of backing and pieced top, and smooth onto batting.
  3. Pinning: Use either Basting Brights Pins and a Kwik Klip, or Flower Head Pins with Pinmoors to hold fabric securely in place.
