History of Sewing Weekend Expo™

Since the first Sewing Weekend Expo™ in 1985, this three-day weekend has grown from an estimated attendance of 200 to more than 4,000 avid sewers, quilters, embroiderers, and their guests. Sewing Weekend Expo is held annually (late April or early May) at Nancy’s Notions headquarters in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. This Midwestern town is centrally located 35 miles northeast of Wisconsin’s capitol, Madison, and 70 miles northwest of Wisconsin’s largest city, Milwaukee. But, no matter what direction you come from, you’ll always find that friendly people for miles around are ready to help with any food and lodging needs. Every year, enthusiasts from across North America come to see speakers and seminars, presentations, and demonstration booths, while also taking part in hands-on classes, contests and drawings, social gatherings, and shop our once-a-year warehouse sale.
