Shipping Restrictions:

Large Item Delivery Fees:
Some oversized or overweight large items cost considerably more to ship and require additional shipping charges. The fee is in addition to the Standard Delivery Rate. For example: $125 ($15) - the item is $125; the large item delivery fee is $15.

Canadian Delivery
Add $9 to the above Standard Delivery Rate. All prices are in US funds. Packages should arrive in approximately 7 to 14 days. Express Delivery, 2nd Day, or Next Day delivery is not available. Customers are responsible for paying all applicable government taxes, duties, custom fees, and broker fees.

Uninsurable Countries

1. Can I return software? Yes, even after you've installed the software on your computer. Simply uninstall the software and return the complete package.

2. Can I return embroidery designs? Yes, go ahead and break the package seal. If you don't care for how your new designs stitch, return the opened CD. Simply delete any designs you already loaded to your computer, memory cards, jump drives, or sewing machine.

3. Can I return cut fabric? Yes. Go ahead. Prewash and cut your fabric. If you don't like how it sews, return it. It's that simple.

• Keep a hot iron away from the surface of chalkboard fabric because it could melt the fabric surface. If needed, use a warm, dry iron with a dry press cloth. Do not use steam and don't hold the iron down in one place very long. Or use a wooden presser like the Little Wooden Iron to press the chalkboard fabric.
• Use the standard sewing machine presser foot or a Teflon foot. A smooth Teflon-coated foot glides over hard-to-sew fabrics like chalkboard fabric, preventing the fabric from tugging and pulling against the foot. If you don't have a Teflon foot, use tissue paper or wax paper between the chalkboard fabric and the presser foot. The paper will help the fabric glide smoothly and the stitching perforates the paper, making it easy to remove. After sewing, tear the paper away.
• Use a size 80 universal needle
• Thread the top and bobbin of the machine with coordinating all-purpose thread
• Pin marks are permanent in chalkboard fabric, so binding and hem clips are good substitutes. They firmly hold the edges in place, yet leave no marks on the fabric when they're removed.
• Since chalkboard fabric doesn't ravel, finish the edges with decorative shears such as scallop shears, pinking shears, or a wavy blade rotary cutter
• Adjust your machine for a longer stitch length (3.5 mm). Smaller stitches weaken the fabric.
• Chalkboard fabric must be cured prior to its first use. To cure the fabric, place on a flat surface and rub a piece of chalk on its side over the fabric surface, from side to side and then top to bottom. Clean the fabric with a damp sponge, then repeat the process. It is now ready for use.

How to use this guide: The back of the pattern envelope calls for 2-1/4 yards (2.10m) of 44"-45" (115cm) width fabric; the fabric you choose is 50" (127cm) wide. Find 2-1/4 yards (2.10m) under the 44"-45" (115cm) column and read across the same line to the 50" (127cm) column. You'll find that with that fabric width you need 2 yards (1.80m). Napped, one-way design fabrics or large pattern pieces may require additional yardage.
