Friday, July 19, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, July 20, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Start off by learning the basics of Cotton Theory in an informational lecture filled with samples to view. In the classroom, you'll learn basic piecing techniques to assemble a French braid style piece to create a simple, but eye catching block in the center of the table runner. Next, you'll assemble quilt sandwiches and start quilting. Each section will then get quilted individually. Here's where you'll learn channel quilting and quilting in the ditch. By adding dark blue facing strips, you'll move on to create highways and overpasses. The final edges are attached with merging lanes, and you'll complete the project with traditional double-fold binding and a decorative stitch. Take home a beautiful reversible 14-1/2" x 36-1/2" finished table runner.
Workshop includes goodie bags, lunches both days, machine use, snacks, door prizes, thread, kits, and pattern.
