First, you'll be introduced to basic landscape lessons including color values, designing successful landscapes, drafting patterns on graph paper, sources of inspiration, and the types of fabric to choose. Then see a number of in-process steps for making watercolor quilts and discover how to take a design from the mind to fabric. You'll be shown how to incorporate Broiderie Perse, a unique method of applique, with a tear-away stabilizer to create a foundation. For your hands-on experience, you get to choose between The Fence Post or The Balcony quilt options.
Workshop includes: lecture/demo trunk show, machine use, lunches both days, snacks, prizes, and a kit of choice with all the necessary fabrics and foundation for top (excluding borders, backing, and binding).
