Nancy's Notions employs the highest levels of security to ensure that your order is confidential and secure. How do I order from Nancy's Notions web site?
On a product page, enter the quantity desired and click on the Add to Cart button. The Item Number and Product Name will appear on the Shopping Cart page. The quantity ordered, price each, and Total Price will display. If you wish to add more items to your cart, click on the Continue Shopping button.
Click on Cart icon in the upper left corner to view your Shopping Cart at any time.
When you have finished shopping, click on the Checkout button on the Shopping Cart page. You will then complete the ordering process.
Where do I enter a Source Code?
A Source Code identifies the mailing piece or promotional email you received. You can find the Source Code in the pink box near your address on a mailing piece. Enter all characters following the Source Code including dashes. Then, click on continue.
If you do not have a Source Code, leave the box blank. Click on the continue button.
Only one source code per order can be applied.
Why won't the web site accept the Source Code I entered?
There are three possible reasons our web site will not accept a Source Code:
- It is entered incorrectly; enter only numbers and include the dash ex: 123456-2222.
- You are using an expired source code.
- The shopping cart remembers a previous source entered. Please phone in your order to:
I have a coupon or promotion I would like to use with my online order.
You can find the Source Code in the pink box near your address on a mailing piece. Enter all characters following the Source Code including dashes. Then, click on Continue. You will see the promotion at Step 4 of Checkout (Checkout-Review & Submit Order).
How do I know if you have inventory of an item?
After you select an item for purchase, the product will show up in the Shopping Cart page. If the product is unavailable, a message will show with information as to the expected ship date. PLEASE NOTE: due to occasional special circumstances, some products with limited inventory may not be actually available at the time of your order because we have oversold the item. We regret this situation, but a note will be added to your invoice to indicate which item(s) was sold out.
Why don't I see prices on Koala products and why can't I order Koala products online?
Effective April 1, 2002, Koala product prices could no longer appear on any web site. You may order Koala products via phone, mail, or fax. Our Order Line is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week at 800.833.0690.
How do I change the quantity or remove an item from the Shopping Cart?
Click on the shopping cart icon at the upper right of the screen. Then click on view basket. If you change the quantity of any item(s) in your shopping cart, click Update to recalculate your subtotal.
If you wish to return to shopping while in your cart, click continue shopping. The items in your cart will remain until you remove them from the cart or make the purchase.
Before completing the order, make sure to review the details of your order before you proceed to checkout. The checkout process is secure, easy, and fast.
How do I know if my online order went through and you received it?
You will first receive an order request summary email. Within 48 hours, you will also receive an order confirmation with your order number. If you do not receive both of these emails, please contact customer service.
Can I change my order after I submit it?
Please review your order closely. Questions can be addressed by calling Customer Service at 800-245-5116 (M-F 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. CT). We will make every effort to change your order if it has not already been processed.
Why don't I receive email confirmations?
Check your spam filters. Verify Nancy's Notions is set up as a “safe sender” or firstname.lastname@example.org is on your “whitelist”.
Why do I receive two email confirmations; one with an ML# and one with an order number? What do they mean?
The first email with the ML# is an Order Request Summery Report that confirms your order was submitted to Nancy’s Notions. The second email with your order number is an Order Confirmation email; this confirms your order was received and is being processed.
Canadian and International customers: prices listed on Nancy's Notions Web site are in US funds. If you use a credit card, the exchange rate will be reflected on the invoice you receive from the credit card company.
Credit Cards: MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express
PayPal: You can select PayPal when you checkout online.
Personal Checks: We accept personal checks with your mail in order. Checks MUST be in US funds. We will not accept checks from Canadian or foreign banks.
Money Orders: We accept money order in US Funds when you mail in your order.
Nancy's Notions Gift Cards: You may redeem a Nancy's Notions Gift Card during your online checkout. Enter the Gift Card number in Step 3 (Checkout-Payment Information).
Do I need to pay sales tax?
Nancy's Notions collects applicable sales tax for shipments to Wisconsin, Colorado, and Vermont addresses.
Why do I pay sales tax on shipping?
Wisconsin, Colorado, and Vermont laws require us to charge tax on shipping charges.
Important Sales Tax Information for Oklahoma Purchasers
We are not required and do not collect Oklahoma sales tax or use tax on your purchase. However, unless this sale is exempt from sales taxes, Oklahoma requires that you report all purchases that were not taxed and pay the tax on the Oklahoma individual income tax return [Form 511] or by filing a consumer use tax return. [Form 21-1], including Internet and catalog purchases.
The required tax forms and instructions are available on the Oklahoma Tax Commission website, www.tax.ok.gov.
Do American Sewing Guild members receive a discount?
ASG members should check the ASG members-only website to get information about the latest promotional offer.
Do Sewing Professionals receive a discount?
Qualified sewing professionals are entitled to a 15% discount. Approved sewing related businesses include: tailors, alteration specialists, custom sewing, libraries and certified schools, 4-H Leaders, county extension agents, and home economists who teach instructional sewing/tailoring in a classroom setting. Enter the source code from your catalog label. Discount cannot be combined with any other offers or discounts, including clearance items.
To apply, print the Sewing Professional Discount Form. Wisconsin customers are required to also complete the Wisconsin Sales and Use Tax Exemption Certificate. Acrobat Reader is required to view these documents. If you do not have Acrobat Reader, you can obtain it by going to www.adobe.com.

- Can I return software?
Yes, even after you've installed the software on your computer. Simply uninstall the software and return the complete package.
- Can I return embroidery designs?
Yes, go ahead and break the package seal. If you don't care for how your new designs stitch, return the opened CD. Simply delete any designs you already loaded to your computer, memory cards, jump drives, or sewing machine.
- Can I return cut fabric?
Yes. Go ahead. Prewash and cut your fabric. If you don't like how it sews, return it. It's that simple.
Want to return an item?
Complete the form on the back of the packing slip that came with your order. If you no longer have the packing slip, contact Customer Service for a Return Authorization (RMA#).
If we are unable to process your refund using the credit card or payment type on the order, a refund check will be sent. Please allow two weeks for the check to arrive after your return is received. Sorry, shipping-and-handling rates are not refundable.
Want a replacement sent for an item?
Please contact Customer Service. In some cases, the team may be able to expedite the shipment of your replacement item prior to receiving your return.
Are items listed on your receipt missing from the package?
Check to make sure the items were not overlooked. Some items may be wrapped in paper. Others may be stacked or folded and not immediately visible. If items are still missing, please contact Customer Service.
Want to exchange the item you ordered for something else?
Please return what you no longer want for a refund. Place an order for the new item(s).

How do I change my password?
Go to My Account and click on My Information. Complete the Email Address & Password section. Click on Submit Changes.
I've forgotten my password.
At Checkout there is a link after “Forgot your password?” Click here to retrieve your Password Recovery question. A new password will be emailed to you. Please check your email account, and then click Continue to return to the Checkout page and use the new password that you received. You can change the password any time by going to My Account and clicking on My Information. Complete the Email Address & Password section. Click on Submit Changes.
I've changed my email address. How do I make the change on the Web site?
Go to My Account. Enter your old email address and password in the Register/Sign In screen. Click on My Information and enter your new email address. Then click Continue.
How do I update my billing and default shipping addresses?
Go to My Account. Enter your email address and password in the Register/Sign In screen. Click on My Information. Make changes in the Billing Information section. Click Submit Changes.

Some items have shipping restrictions attached to them. These items cannot ship via Express 2nd Day Delivery, nor can they ship outside the contiguous USA. This may be due to their size, weight or content such as aerosol, flammable, combustible products, with the latter having strict shipping regulations attached.
Oversized Shipping Charges:
Some oversized or overweight large items cost considerably more to ship and require additional shipping charges. The fee is in addition to the Standard Delivery Rate.

How do I get a copy of Nancy's Notions catalog?

Are prices the same in the catalog, online and in the Retail Store?
For the most part, yes. Sometimes an item that is on sale in our store may not be on sale in the catalog or online, or visa-versa. When that happens, please mention it to us. We are always willing to honor sale prices online. Nancy's Notions makes every effort to avoid pricing errors, but they do occasionally occur. Because they are in error, we can't be held responsible for them.
How do I unsubscribe from your online newsletter?
If you no longer want to receive a newsletter from us, please go to the bottom of any page and put your email address into the section “FREE tips, ideas, & specials from Nancy.” Click on Submit. Click on the unsubscribe link and follow directions.

Just unsubscribe your old email address and subscribe with your new email address.
AOL members: To receive and view HTML email, you should have version 6.0 or higher. Due to increasingly strict criteria (spam filter software) by AOL, some of you may not be receiving our emails. This new software may be blocking our emails from arriving in your Inbox. We ask that you include our addresses on your safe list to ensure delivery of our emails, although, they may still end up in a “junk” folder. Please check this folder often in order to retrieve flagged messages and redirect them to your Inbox. In some cases, you may have to re-subscribe.
Unable to view images within our HTML emails.
There has been an increase of new spam software/programs being installed by many ISP (Internet Service Providers) companies which possibly could be the reason you can't view any images. Check your settings! For example, Hotmail, Netscape, and Yahoo! Mail have preferences you can set to disable images within HTML emails. This helps protect your email address from spammers. You can choose to remove images (or block images) until messages are reviewed. After reviewing the message and you're sure it is not junk mail, you can click on a link in the message to display the images. OutLook Express also offers a similar feature, but you have to go back to your preferences and change the settings back so you can view the images.
Some of these new programs created may also block emails from arriving that you do want to receive. Please add email@example.com to your online "whitelist" address book to be sure you'll continue to receive Nancy's Notions' e-mails in your inbox.

Try re-subscribing your email address, being careful to spell your address correctly. Also check your spam filters.
There are many ways for email communications to go awry. Almost everyone has connection problems at some point—first thing you should always do is check your Internet connection by surfing some Web pages. If you have recently updated your Internet browser, changed your ISP (Internet Service Provider), or have a new email client, don't forget to revise your configuration settings, as some of these settings may change. For example, check items such as security info, filter folders, server names, email address, user name, etc. For further assistance, please access your Help feature included with your browser or your ISP.
Haven't received emails in awhile.
Some explanations could be—we sent you a message, but your mailbox was full, your server was busy with several other messages, new spam software may be blocking our emails from arriving in your Inbox, or our message took too long to travel to your server and was, therefore, disabled. Make sure your computer can accept bulk emails. Some email programs and online service providers want to eliminate “junk e-mail,” so they put a block on mass mailings. Check your email software preferences and/or call your service provider if you're not sure whether or not you have this feature.
Can I purchase a Gift Card online?
Yes. Gift Cards may be purchased in predetermined amounts from $5 to $100. For amounts not listed on our site, please call our Order line at 800-833-0690.
How do I view video clips?
The videos were created with files that have been optimized for users with high-speed DSL or cable access. Customers who are using a dial-up modem will be able to view the clip, but may experience a very long wait.
For optimum viewing, the latest version of Windows Media Player will open and play the video. If you do not have Windows Media Player, you can get it FREE at www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia
