How do I order from Nancy's Notions web site?
Ordering is fast, easy, and secure. We recommend creating an account for access to account history, links to downloadable products ordered, to create a wish list, and allow product reviews.
Where can I find an order form if I want to mail in my order?

What is a Source Code?
A Source Code identifies the mailing piece or promotional email you received. You can find the Source Code in the pink box near your address on a mailing piece or referenced in an email by a sequence of numbers 123456 - 1234.
Where do I enter a Source Code?
Enter all characters including dashes in the Apply Source Code section in Review & Payments when checking out.
Then, click on Apply Source Code.
If you do not have a Source Code, leave the box blank.
Only one source code per order can be applied.
If you enter more than one source code, the website will remember the first valid code entered.
I have a coupon or promotion I would like to use with my online order.
Enter all including dashes under Apply Source Code. Then, click on Apply Source Code. You will see the changes in upper right in the Order Summary.
Why won't the web site accept the Source Code I entered?
There are four possible reasons our web site will not accept a Source Code:
- It is entered incorrectly; enter only numbers and include the dash ex: 123456-1234.
- The source code has expired.
- It is not a valid source code.
- The shopping cart remembers a previous source code entered. Delete your Browsing history and Cookies.
How do I know if you have inventory of an item?
If an item is in stock, the Add to Cart option will display when hovering over the item on a Category page, and the Product page will indicate in stock & ready to ship.
How do I change the quantity or remove an item from the Shopping Cart?
Click on the shopping cart icon at the upper right of the screen. Then click on view and edit cart at the bottom right. If you change the quantity of any item(s) in your shopping cart, click Update Shopping Cart to recalculate your subtotal. If you wish to continue shopping, the items in your cart will remain until you remove them from the cart or make the purchase. Before completing the order, make sure to review the details of your order before you proceed to checkout.
How do I know if my online order went through and you received it?
Shortly after placing your order, you will receive an order confirmation email from firstname.lastname@example.org. Please contact Customer Service at 800-245-5116 if you don't receive this email.
Can I change my order after I submit it?
Unfortunately, once your order has been submitted, we are unable to make any changes to it. Please review your order closely. However, we are able to cancel an order prior to it being shipped.
Why don't I receive email confirmations?
Check your spam filters. Verify Nancy's Notions is set up as a “safe sender” or email@example.com is on your “whitelist”.
Do American Sewing Guild members receive a discount?
ASG members should check the ASG members-only website to get information about the latest promotional offer.
Do Sewing Professionals receive a discount?
Qualified sewing professionals are entitled to a 15% discount. Approved sewing related businesses include: tailors, alteration specialists, custom sewing, libraries and certified schools, 4-H Leaders, county extension agents, and home economists who teach instructional sewing/tailoring in a classroom setting. Enter the source code from your catalog label. Discount cannot be combined with any other offers or discounts, including clearance items.
To apply, print the Sewing Professional Discount Form. Wisconsin customers are required to also complete the Wisconsin Sales and Use Tax Exemption Certificate. Acrobat Reader is required to view these documents. If you do not have Acrobat Reader, you can obtain it by going to www.adobe.com.

Where are my downloadable files?
If you purchased a downloadable item, like embroidery designs, you can access those files from your account. First, log in to My Account — the link is found in the upper right corner of the web page. Select My Downloadable Products under Account Dashboard on the left. Click on the desired file link to begin download.
Canadian and International customers: prices listed on Nancy's Notions Web site are in US funds. If you use a credit card, the exchange rate will be reflected on the invoice you receive from the credit card company.
Forms of payment accepted:
-Credit Cards: MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express
-PayPal: PayPal can be selected when purchasing online.
-Personal Checks: For security purposes we encourage you to place your order via our secure website or phone in your order. Should a check be required, checks MUST be in U.S. funds. We will not accept checks from Canadian or foreign banks.
-Money Orders: Same as personal checks
-Nancy's Notions Gift Cards: may be redeemed during your online checkout or with a mailed in order. For online orders, enter the Gift Card number in Review & Payments under Apply Gift Card.
Do I need to pay sales tax?
Nancy's Notions collects applicable sales tax for shipments to Alabama, Connecticut, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Nevada, New Jersey, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Vermont, Washington, and Wisconsin addresses.
Why do I pay sales tax on shipping?
Wisconsin, Colorado, Mississippi, and Vermont laws require us to charge tax on shipping charges.
Important Sales Tax Information for Oklahoma Purchasers
We are not required and do not collect Oklahoma sales tax or use tax on your purchase. However, unless this sale is exempt from sales taxes, Oklahoma requires that you report all purchases that were not taxed and pay the tax on the Oklahoma individual income tax return [Form 511] or by filing a consumer use tax return. [Form 21-1], including Internet and catalog purchases.
The required tax forms and instructions are available on the Oklahoma Tax Commission website, www.tax.ok.gov.
Nancy's Notions, a subsidiary of the Tacony Corporation, offers wholesale pricing strictly to established retailers who purchase our items and resell them in the same form as purchased from us. Examples include fabric stores and sewing machine dealers. Whether you've cut it, crumpled it, opened it, or sewn it, we promise no-hassle returns on any purchase. There are absolutely no restrictions and no restocking fees. If you're not completely satisfied, simply return the product with proof of purchase for a replacement or refund of the purchase price.

- Can I return software?
Yes, if you've installed the software on your computer, simply uninstall and return it.
- Can I return embroidery designs?
Yes, go ahead and break the package seal. If you don't care for how your new designs stitch, return it. Simply delete any designs you already loaded to your computer, memory cards, jump drives, or sewing machine.
- Can I return cut fabric?
Yes. Go ahead. Prewash and cut your fabric. If you don't like how it sews, return it. It's that simple.
How do I return an item?
Complete the back of the packing slip that came with your order, include with your package, and address your package using the bottom portion of the packing slip. If you no longer have the packing slip, please include another proof of purchase along with your name, address, phone number, and reason for return. Send the package to:

If we are unable to process your refund using the credit card or payment type on the order, a refund check will be sent. Please allow two weeks for the check to arrive after your return is received. Sorry, shipping-and-handling rates are not refundable.
Are items listed on your receipt missing from the package?
Check to make sure the items were not overlooked. Some items may be wrapped in paper. Others may be stacked or folded and not immediately visible. If items are still missing, please contact Customer Service at 800-245-5116.
How do I exchange an item?
Please return what you no longer want for a refund. Place an order for the new item(s).

How do I change my password?
Go to My Account and login. On the left side, click on Account Information. Check the box before Change Password. Complete the Change Password fields and click Save.
I've forgotten my password.
Click on My Account. Fill in the Email address and click on Forgot Your Password. Enter your email address in the Email box and click on Reset My Password. An email will be sent to you with a link to reset your password. Follow the instructions in that email to reset your password.
In Checkout, there is a Sign In link in the upper right. Click on it, then click on Forgot Your Password. Enter your email address in the Email box and click on Reset My Password. An email will be sent to you with a link to reset your password. Check your email account and follow the instructions in that email. Then click on the Cart in the upper right hand corner of our website to proceed with checking out.
I've changed my email address. How do I make the change on the Web site?
Go to My Account and login. Click on Edit under your email address in Account Information. Check the box before 'Change Email'. Enter your new email address and your current password. Click Save.
How do I update my billing and default shipping addresses?
Go to My Account and login. Click on edit under the address you would like to update. Enter your new address and click Save Address.

Some items have shipping restrictions attached to them. These items cannot ship outside the contiguous USA. This may be due to their size, weight or content such as aerosol, flammable, combustible products, with the latter having strict shipping regulations attached.

How do I get a copy of Nancy's Notions catalog?
Click on the REQUEST A CATALOG link at the bottom of the page.

How do I view video online demos?
Online demo links appear as an image on the product page. Enter the item number or description in the search box. On the results page, choose the item by clicking on the image. After the screen changes, there will be a large image on the left with smaller images below. Look for the image with a profile outline of a camera. Click on that image and it will now appear above. Click on the arrow in the center to view the video.
Are prices the same in the catalog, online and in the Retail Store?
For the most part, the answer is yes. Sometimes an item that is on sale in our store may not be on sale in the catalog and/or online. When that happens, please let us know. We are always willing to honor sale prices online. Nancy's Notions makes every effort to avoid pricing errors, but they do occasionally occur. Because they are an error, we can't be held responsible for them.
How do I unsubscribe from your online newsletter?
There are two ways to unsubscribe:
- Go to My Account and login. Under Newsletters, on the right, click on Edit. Uncheck the General Subscription box and click Save.
- Go to the bottom of any of our prior newsletters you received and click on Unsubscribe. Read the instructions, check the appropriate box, and click update.
I've changed my email address.
Go to My Account and login. Click on Edit under your email address in Account Information on My Dashboard. Check the box before Change Email. Enter your new email address and your current password. Click Save.
AOL members: To receive and view HTML email, you should have version 6.0 or higher. Due to increasingly strict criteria (spam filter software) by AOL, some of you may not be receiving our emails. This new software may be blocking our emails from arriving in your Inbox. We ask that you include our addresses on your safe list to ensure delivery of our emails, although, they may still end up in a “junk” folder. Please check this folder often in order to retrieve flagged messages and redirect them to your Inbox. In some cases, you may have to re-subscribe.
Unable to view images within our HTML emails.
There has been an increase of new spam software and programs being installed by many ISP (Internet Service Providers, which possibly could be the reason you can't view any images. Make sure to check your settings. For example: Hotmail, Netscape, and Yahoo! Mail have preferences you can set to disable images within HTML emails. This helps protect your email address from spammers. You can choose to remove or block images until messages are reviewed. After reviewing the message and you're sure it is not junk mail, you can click on a link in the message to display the images. Outlook Express also offers a similar feature, but you have to go back to your preferences and change the settings back so you can view the images.
Some of these new programs created may also block emails from arriving that you do want to receive. Please add email@example.com to your online safe sender list to be sure you'll continue to receive Nancy's Notions' emails in your inbox.
Signed up for e-news, but haven't received it yet.
Try re-subscribing your email address, being careful to spell your address correctly. You should also check your spam filters and add firstname.lastname@example.org to your safe sender list. Otherwise, create an account and choose to subscribe through your account. Choose to edit Newsletters on My Dashboard.
There are many ways for email communications to go awry. Almost everyone has connection problems at some point—first thing you should always do is check your Internet connection by surfing some Web pages. If you have recently updated your Internet browser, changed your ISP (Internet Service Provider), or have a new email client, don't forget to revise your configuration settings, as some of these settings may change. For example, check items such as security info, filter folders, server names, email address, user name, etc. For further assistance, please access your Help feature included with your browser or your ISP.
Haven't received emails in a while.
Some explanations could be we sent you a message, but your mailbox was full, your server was busy with several other messages, new spam software may be blocking our emails from arriving in your inbox, or our message took too long to travel to your server and was, therefore, disabled. Make sure your computer can accept bulk emails. Some email programs and online service providers want to eliminate “junk email,” so they put a block on mass mailings. Check your email software preferences and/or call your service provider if you're not sure whether or not you have this feature.
Can I purchase a Gift Card online?
Yes. Gift cards may be purchased in predetermined amounts from $25 to $150. For amounts not listed on our site, please call our Order line at 800-833-0690.
What is Proposition 65?
